We also like to thank Fundraising Edge for choosing Lara’s essay to win $100.” Elections for new PTA officers will be held in May. None of the current officers will be available to serve next year, so we will need all new officers: President, Vice-President, Secretary & Treasurer for the 2008-2009 school year. If you would like to serve, please submit your name via email to pross@smartpurge.com or send to school in an envelope marked “PTA”, or mail to: Paula Ross, 12 King Street, North Brookfield, MA 01535 The Spring Buy One Get One Book Fair is scheduled to run from April 28 to May 2. We need several parent volunteers to run this event. We need to schedule the volunteers by March 15th so that we have time to cancel the Book Fair in the event that we do not get enough parent volunteers. We will need people for 9am to 12 noon every day that week as well as some people for that Thursday night 5pm to 8pm. If you are able to give an hour or more of your time to help with this event, please contact Paula Ross at pross@smartpurge.com or 508-867-2980. The PTA would like to thank Mr Josti and the Tech Ed students at the High School for their generous donation of a deacon’s bench. The PTA plans to raffle the bench at the Mother’s Day breakfast this spring! The PTA has decided to hold a special fundraiser in the Spring for the purpose of raising money to replace the aging curtains in the Elementary School. The curtains are deteriorating, creating considerable dust in the classroom environment. Look for more detailed information coming home with your child shortly.
